On the verge of stardom, Christopher Malpass still keeps his day job working on transmissions in Goldsboro, North Carolina.  His younger brother, Taylor, farms tobacco.  More and more, though, the brothers  are taking time off to play in clubs and concert halls, and even on the occasional Caribbean cruise. Is moving from North Carolina to Nashville in their future?

The Malpass Brothers ignite audiences with their first love--vintage country music. “When we go to visit our heroes in Nashville,” says Christopher, “we have to go to the cemetery.”

Christopher and Taylor Malpass know how to hit every historic lick--from Merle Haggard to Johnny Cash, and Ferlin Husky to the Louvin Brothers. Their voices blend as only brothers can. And their humor is infectious.

Now, in partnership with the Paramount Theater and North Carolina Public Television, a team of filmmakers are following Taylor and Christopher Malpass as their career is rapidly blossoming.

The film will feature hometown  concert footage from the sold-out Paramount show in January 2017,  interviews with the Malpass family, their neighbors,  school teachers, co-workers, and all the fans that have adopted them.

The filmakers have also interviewed deejay and country music historian Carl Lamm and Clyde Mattocks of the Super Grit Cowboy Band.  Soon they’ll sit down with Nashville royalty--Jimmy Capps and Bill Anderson--who have become big fans of the Malpass Brothers.

The film is almost halfway toward a fundraising goal of $80,000 and will premiere in Goldsboro in January 2018 and on public television later in the year. Please join the Paramount Theatre in supporting this project! Contributions are tax deductible
